- All daySelf-Defense TrainingIf you’re looking to build confidence, learn self-defense skills, and train in a supportive and inclusive environment, Self-Defense SGT is the perfect place to start. With guidance from Eryn and thoughtfully structured sessions, each class is designed to empower students of all experience levels. Whether you're learning how to avoid danger, escape a grab, or respond to an attack, you'll leave each session stronger, more aware, and better prepared. Don’t miss out: join us and take the first step in protecting yourself and others. Self-Defense Small Group Training is a place for you to learn more about different ways to defend yourself. This small group training will be offered in 3 different sessions, each of them covering 3 class topics: SAFE Hands, Wrist Escapes, and Grab Arts. - 8:00 AM8hFirst Aid/CPR/AED Training - Campus Safety WeekEmail - riskmgmt@sfsu.edu First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely and effective manner. First Aid, CPR and AED training is designed for anyone with little or no medical training, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Pre-Registration is required. - 1:30 PM1hWags for Wellness - Campus Safety WeekEmail - riskmgmt@sfsu.edu The Wags for Wellness Program aims to build community through stress relief activities and raise awareness of mental health and wellness resources on campus. Studies show animals can help relieve anxiety, and just petting a dog or cat can lower your blood pressure. We hope you will come out to pet one of our visiting therapy animals! Therapy Animals are certified assisted therapy animals from the SF SPCA. In the event of rain, the event may be relocated or canceled for the day.
