"Saffron Stain" follows the journey of Avat, a woman in her late twenties, as she immigrates to USA from Iran with her seven-year-old daughter, Bahar, in search of a better life. Avat navigates the complexities of identity and cultural assimilation here, and grapples with the challenges of surviving as a single mother and an immigrant. Through moments of heartache, humor, and revelation, the play invites audiences to bear witness to Avat's journey as she confronts her past and forges a path towards.
