Meet our 2023 Alumni Hall of Fame inductees: Boots Riley | San Francisco State University
Boots Riley is an activist who infuses his art with his politics. He’s the frontman for the hip-hop group The Coup. A cinephile, Riley directed and wrote the screenplay for his debut 2018 feature film “Sorry to Bother You,” which won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature Film.
