Through collaborative, hands-on activities and interactive exercises, participants will learn to write clear, effective prompts, apply refinement techniques such as prompt chaining, and assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy and relevance to achieve more reliable and useful results in a variety of academic and non-academic contexts. Email - mzs@sfsu.edu Phone - (914) 674-4146 Musical Theatre Workshop 2025 is an investigation of acting through song. Students in the class choose their own material to work on throughout the semester. Their parameters for choosing material: the song must offer a substantive acting challenge. A range of singing actors take this class, from very experienced musicians to actors who may be singing for the first time. In all our work, the focus is on the story being told and how we work musically to best tell that story. This will be a final showing of our work this semester. Our pieces are ambitious, and we are excited to share them with you.

- May 711:00 AMGenerative AI for Visual DesignCost - Free Email - ai@sfsu.edu This course offers an exploration of visual generative AI (GenAI) tools for image and design generation. Participants will gain a primer on visual GenAI tools, considerations for using GenAI, and some best practices for creating effective and accessible designs. Through hands-on activities, participants will develop skills in crafting descriptive prompts and selecting appropriate visual styles to generate unique images using Adobe Firefly. Additionally, they will learn how to generate visual elements to be incorporated into designs using Adobe Express. This book chronicles the lived experiences of visibly black women in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican scholars Dr. Tala Guzmn-Gonzlez and Dr. Eileene Tejada will join Dr. Abada-Rexach to discuss the themes and issues in this important book.
