7th Annual Project Rebound Mural Celebration: Incarceration to Liberation

    Please join Project Rebound for our seventh Annual Mural celebration! This year, we have a three-part event series for the celebration: a month-long student art exhibit from October 1-November 7th, Prisoner Monologue performances, and a sit-down conversation with Gypsy Rose Blanchard-Anderson who has recently rejoined us in the free world.    If you would like to attend this event, you must RSVP using the google form HERE (https://forms.gle/QJ3VgcSkAV95UVR68). This event may reach capacity, so if you do not RSVP you will not be able to attend.      AGENDA: 12:00pm: Doors open, sounds of resilience Jack Adams Hall12:30pm: Land Acknowledgement Why the Mural Theme "From Incarceration to Liberation" 1:00pm PART ONE: Monologues and Performances>Artists and storytellers from Opportunity Scholars will join via zoom while currently incarcerated in Maine to read excerpts from their poetry anthology, WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?1:30pm: Powerful Spoken word from various students SFSU (AL), Portland State University, CSUEB>Wisdom of the carceral experience through verbal expression 2:30pm:   Break  3:00pm PART TWO: Candid talk with Special guest -  Gypsy Rose Blanchard-Anderson>”Thin Line between Victim and Victimizer”3:15 PM - Moderated Panel Conversation (w/ GRB)4:15:00 PM - Q&A  4:45 PM- Event Concludes*****Please be aware that this event will be filmed by both Associated Students and a third-party production company.
