Our storyteller, Per Sia (@per_sia), is a regular performer in the nationally acclaimed Drag Story Hour as well as an educator-in-residence at an after-school arts program in the San Francisco Unified School District who has been profiled on KQED Arts, NPR, and CNN. Drag Story Hour captures the imagination and play of childhood, offering up glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models who defy rigid gender restrictions. Attend and imagine a world where everyone is free to be their authentic self. This all-ages storytime starts at 12:30 p.m. on the first floor of J. Paul Leonard Library, near the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk.

Cost - Free Email - ai@sfsu.edu This course offers an exploration of visual generative AI (GenAI) tools for image and design generation. Participants will gain a primer on visual GenAI tools, considerations for using GenAI, and some best practices for creating effective and accessible designs. Through hands-on activities, participants will develop skills in crafting descriptive prompts and selecting appropriate visual styles to generate unique images using Adobe Firefly. Additionally, they will learn how to generate visual elements to be incorporated into designs using Adobe Express. This course is required to receive a digital badge for the AI Literacy Education Program (https://ai.sfsu.edu/start-your-ai-journey).
